Finished Object: Little Santa Sack Hat - but not really santa

I loved this pattern but wanted to try it with some yarn I had been saving for a project for my little one. It came out really cute even though I had to restart multiple times (I didn't read/pay attention). I highly recommend the pattern for 3 and under. It's adorable and works up fast.

Finished Object: Ghost

my littlest one (2.5) became obsessed with ghosts this Halloween. She would point them out on shirts and say the word "ghost" and then make a boo kind of sound. It was amazing. I found some Halloween window clings and she would carry the ghost one everywhere. Even in the car!  I decided to use the window cling as a guide and make her a ghost! She loved it and carries him lots of places! I just wished I used a washable fabric instead of fleece. Basic Instructions are between the two photos

How did I make it?

  1. Drew a ghost outline on white fleece using a pencil (tried to make it similar to the window cling since she liked that one so much)
  2. Cut out both pieces of fleece using the pencil as a general guide.
  3. Put a pencil mark where I though the eyes should be (approximately) 
  4. With sharp scissors, made a small hole for the eyes
  5. Attached two small safety eyes using the holes i just made
  6. Sewed the two pieces about 90% together (right sides out) with white embroidery thread.
  7. Stuffed ghost thinly with poly fill. I wanted to make ghost thick enough so she couldn't feel the safety eyes. (Tip: Use a chop stick (or similar) to move the stuff around and get into the little arms) 
  8. Sew up the remaining part and tie off
  9. Hand to 2.5 year old

Finished Objects: cricut koozie (super mario mushroom)

This was my first finished project with my cricut. I'm really happy with how it came out and I have learned so much. It is an wedding anniversary present for my very amazing husband :-)

- Official Yeti Koozie thing (the best)! YETI Rambler Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Colster

- This is the first time I've used this brand of vinyl (it is more permanent than crictu brand) and it was great! Ultimate Oracal 651 Starter Pack 63 Glossy Self Adhesive Vinyl Sheets (12" x 12", 63 Assortment)

Finished Object: Rainbow Blanket

My oldest little one is obsessed with rainbows, so I decided to make her a rainbow blanket for her toddler bed. Originally, I was going to make a simple pillowcase style blanket. After I got the most rainbowest fabric from Jo-Anne, I realized that the pattern would cause vertigo if not broken up some. so Then I just decided to do a simple window pane quilt. I am getting better at top stitching (still make a ton of mistakes).. but each quilt everything looks a little more polished.

She loved it and it warms my heart every time I tuck her in under it.
